MEET YOUR COACH
ABOUT ME
I’m Daisun Cohn-Williams, a life coach, executive coach, and educator, and the founder of Day1 Life Coaching & Consulting.
I've devoted the majority of my life to working with youth, beginning when I was a teen camp counselor in the 90s. Since then I've worked as a leadership mentor, athletic coach, high school and middle school teacher, tutor, and later, a teen and family life coach and adult success coach.
Graduating from Tufts University's Graduate School of Education in 2005, I have two decades of professional experience helping young people and their families achieve their potential - and over eight years of working with adults to achieve their goals and find life purpose.
For the past 16 years I've lived in the LA area, working alongside some of the city's most prestigious academic management companies before transitioning fully into coaching and consulting in 2014.
My ability to understand the teenage and family experience led me to the realization that I can offer more to young people and their Home Team in the classroom of life than in a school.
Additionally, my experience with ADHD and my background across multiple disciplines, professions, and environments has helped me offer a unique perspective to adults seeking to make meaningful changes in their lives.
Throughout my career I’ve partnered closely with therapists, psychologists, educational consultants, schools and treatment programs, providing on-the-ground coaching support for the populations we serve together. Get in touch if you’d like to connect.
MY PHILOSOPHY
Only you can define and achieve your personal potential. It begins within.
All of us have a unique "Personal Potential." We are all socialized together, raised and schooled on the same curve. The external world and larger society often attempt to funnel us into a single idea of what our potential could look like - through school, media, and our parents' world views.
However, as unique individuals, we often find ourselves at odds with that status quo. Our brains cannot all focus for eight hours of school a day. Algebra doesn't come easily to many of us the way painting does. Each of us registers at a variety of places on the many spectrums of humanity — and yet the world often judges us all the same way.
We are all unique - which means each of us has something original and amazing to offer this world.
We can spend our time forcing ourselves and our children to hit a bullseye they may never hit - or we can focus on the personal.
We can offer space and flexibility so that we can all discover just how far our unique minds, talents, and passions can take us.
I am here to help people find clarity on direction, personal goals, and how to organize the journey toward achieving their personal potential.
